I think of myself as a connector. I follow what I'm curious about to people who help me go further, then return to help the next person down the same path.
I'm a student at The Bay School of San Francisco (class of 2027) who invented and sold fleets of patent-pending sailboat accessories to more than seven institutions, built an E Moto from scratch along with a custom 56v battery, and sit on the board of a full-scale sailing organization, all while finishing high school and giving back to my community.
I believe the best way to learn is to do. Whether I'm inventing something new or teaching a 10-year-old to tack upwind, I show up ready to lead.

www.bikeswithmotors.com ↗ Read The StoryAt 15, I decided I wanted to build a high-powered electric bike — so I started from a sketch, a 2x4, and a stubborn refusal to quit. Over more than a year, I designed the frame in CAD, water-jet cut aluminum body panels, machined custom sprocket adapters, hand-built a 56-volt lithium battery pack from 38 individually tested cells, and 3D-printed a custom enclosure on my school's printer — even convincing a foam manufacturer in Connecticut to ship me trademarked battery-grade material for free.
The finished bike hit 36 mph on a frame and battery I engineered myself — outperforming the production e-bikes that started it all. I recruited local fabricators, machinists, and battery experts along the way, turning a backyard idea into a genuine engineering project.
Developing low-cost autonomous systems to detect and neutralize WWII-era naval mines.
In DevelopmentHundreds of thousands of naval mines from World War I and II remain on seafloors across the Baltic, North Sea, and Pacific — a legacy ordnance problem that threatens commercial shipping, offshore energy infrastructure, and the workers who build and maintain it. Current clearance methods are slow, expensive, and put Navy EOD divers at risk.
I'm prototyping an expendable underwater magnetic anomaly detection system — a battery-powered RM3100 magnetometer data logger mounted on a submersible payload — designed to be deployed from an autonomous surface vessel and detect the magnetic signature of ferrous mine casings. The system includes hard-iron calibration, real-time anomaly detection, and SD card logging, built around an Adafruit Feather RP2040 Adalogger.
This is early-stage R&D prototype work. The goal is a low-cost, attritable detection payload that could make systematic mine clearance faster and safer.

At Sailing Education Adventures in San Rafael, I lead on-water instruction and help guide the organization as a board member. I'm responsible for curriculum, student safety, and expanding access to sailing on San Francisco Bay.
Student-led classes and published writing on hands-on education.
In middle school at Marin Montessori, I designed and taught my own Creative Expression classes — student-led courses where I built the curriculum and led other students through real engineering projects from start to finish.
One class I designed ran six weeks and guided ten students through building a gasoline-powered wooden go-kart from scratch — teaching CAD design, woodworking, power-tool safety, and how a two-stroke engine actually works. I brought students into the planning and decision-making from day one, which kept everyone personally invested in the build.

Serve on the Board of Directors at Sailing Education Adventures, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — helping secure $5,000 in grant funding, writing a letter of recommendation to the California Division of Boating & Waterways, and sitting on the Fundraising and Education Committees that keep the program running for the next generation.
Volunteered hands-on at SCBC — pitching in on the physical labor of building out their facility and designing posters for their summer 2025 events, helping a grassroots community boating program grow.
Volunteered on Race Committee for events including the Thursday Foil Racing Series, the F4 Foils Summer Wingding, the Woodies Invitational, and Markset Boat Crew Training — keeping competitive sailing running smoothly from the water.
Alongside my own ventures, I've taken on freelance work for local businesses and campaigns — building websites and running digital presence from the ground up.
Designed and built the full website for this local fireplace and chimney business, and managed their social media presence — handling everything from visual identity to content strategy.
Designed and built the campaign website for Mike Koo's 2024 Mill Valley City Council run — creating a clean, professional online presence to support his campaign.
Founded and operate a manufacturing LLC from the ground up — product, legal, ops, and sales.
Leads instructors and manages youth programs at an active sailing school on SF Bay.
